Summary
Under the supervision of the Community Manager the Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of vacant apartments, model apartment, leasing office, and common areas of the apartment community.

Community Manager
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service to residents, guests, employees and contractors
- Clean apartments as needed, including model unit(s) on a daily basis.
- Clean all amenity areas including, but not limited to: lobbies, lounges, offices, restrooms, business center, fitness center, recreation room, corridors, breezeways, and stairways daily
- Assist maintenance and management as necessary to ensure curb appeal
- Coordinate housekeeping responsibilities during move-out/move-in assisting contractors and vendors as appropriate
- All other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Broad-based experience in all aspects of housekeeping.
- Proficient communicating in English.
- Ability to work weekends or overtime as job requires.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two step instructions
- Professional and energetic demeanor resulting from previous housekeeping or customer service experience
- Good customer service skills
- Good communication and listening skills
- Able to be an effective team player and interact well with others
- Able to effectively communicate with and provide customer service to residents, parents, vendors, and employees
- High degree of neatness and respect for property combined with a willingness and desire to learn Organized and detail-oriented
- Patient, even-tempered and works well under pressure
- Able to understand cleaning solution labels and use as instructed
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Able to write simple correspondence
- Able to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using basic units of weight measurement, volume, and distance

Working Conditions
Work is typically performed in an indoor environment; exposure to dust, grease, noise, fumes, noxious odors, and cleaning chemicals. Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
