Department/Organization: 201103 - SHC-Physicians
Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, extended hours on nights and weekend hours on rotation
Job Summary: The physician provides acute and chronic care to students/patients for a myriad of illnesses and injuries requiring medical care. This may include diagnosis and treatment, counseling, preventative medicine, and appropriate referrals when necessary.
Required Minimum Qualifications: M.D. or D.O. degree. Three years of residency training or equivalent clinical experience. Board certified or Board eligible in a primary medical specialty. Must be willing and able to become Board certified within the defined eligibility requirements. Must have or be eligible to obtain a current/valid M.D. or D.O. License issued by the State of Alabama and a current D.E.A. certificate. High degree of integrity.
