Business Applications Analyst - Epic Cogito Reporting (Remote)

Join one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic medical centers, UChicago Medicine, as a Business Applications Analyst – Epic Cogito Reporting. This is a remote, work from home opportunity with occasional travel to our campus. You may be based outside of the greater Chicagoland area. 

Job Summary 

In this role, and under general direction, the Business Applications Analyst – Epic Cogito Reporting performs day-to-day activities to support Epic Cogito such as developing and supporting Epic’s analytics suite of tools including Clarity, Caboodle, Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, Radar dashboards, and Cogito SQL. Note: This position does not perform system analysis functions. 

Essential Job Functions  

• Provide system administration support for Clarity/Caboodle/SlicerDicer/Radar Dashboards/Cogito SQL 
• Design, build, test and deploy various reports and extracts 
• Provide day to day operational support such as incident resolution, performance monitoring and alert management 
• Provides guidance and training to less-experienced analyst/programmers/admins 

 Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant certification in programming, Computer science and/or healthcare, business management or information systems 
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with managing and developing reports using Epic’s analytics platform 
• Expertise in the SQL programming 
• Proven skills in problem solving 
• Must work well in a team environment and be able to partner with both business and technical team members 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills required 
• Requires strong multitasking skills; must be a self-starter and able to deliver results on a proactive and independent basis 
• Epic Cogito Tools & Administration certification 
• Epic Clarity/Caboodle Data Model certification 
• Epic Clinical or Revenue Cycle or Patient Access Data Model certification preferred 
• Experience in a healthcare environment a plus
