Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Performs data entry and balancing of cash receipts records for bank reconciliation purposes, as well as cashiering system to FAS interface purposes.
- Processes monthly banking transfers in the Financial Accounting System (FAS).
- Processes new petty cash requests, maintenance, and closures, including initiating and monitoring the status of the annual petty cash certification process.
- Performs various account reconciliations, including petty cash and unclaimed property accounts.
- Performs follow-up with units and external parties to resolve open unclaimed property balances and unclaimed electronic payment receipts.
- Creates and distributes unclaimed property notification memos to campus.
- Performs periodic maintenance on FAS accounts, as requested by campus.
- Manages offsite storage requests for Financial Services.
- Retrieves, organizes and inventories K1s relating to the University’s investments.
- Logs and inventories 1099 forms received by the University.
- Assists with printing and mailing the University’s tax returns.
- Performs a variety of routine operating or cost accounting activities which require basic knowledge of accounting theories and principles.
- Examines accounting records for the purpose of determining gains and losses, receipts and disbursements, and inventory.
- Performs other related work as needed.

Experience:
- One to two years office experience.
