Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Serves as a key member of the University Systems team, which provides functional-level support for the University's set of core applications.
- Performs business analysis, leads requirements gathering sessions, testing, defect management and remediation.
- Works with stakeholders to understand their business objectives.
- Documents and conducts gap analysis between current and future state of business processes.
- Maintains business process documentation throughout the SDLC of the project.
- Conducts meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Leads meetings with guidance from the project manager or senior management and distribute meeting minutes and action items.
- Plans and facilitates workshops/interviews to identify, analyze, and document business requirements, evaluates and maintains business processes, and translates them into business plans/solutions.
- Prepares and delivers client presentations.
- Acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams.
- Manages Test Plans/ Test Cases/ Defect Management and Remediation.
- Leads and manages user acceptance testing and receives final approval.
- Follows the standards established by the BA Organization.
- Ensures solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Prepares and provides training materials when needed.
- Familiarity with SDLC of a project.
- With moderate direction from others, conducts business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analyses. Uses basic understanding of applicable business processes, systems, and industry requirements.
- Implements functional, system, and program specifications. Assists in revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary, under the direction of more experienced colleagues.
- Performs other related work as needed.

Education:
- College degree in a programming/computer science or related field.
Experience:
- Knowledge and skills developed through two years of experience in the area of business analysis.
- Professional work experience with functional writing.
- Minimum two years of experience with the development of software testing materials.
- Minimum one year of experience with the development of training materials.
Preferred Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to demonstrate understanding in groups of people and one-on-one.
- Handle a workload that is not necessarily predictable; and prioritize and/or escalate to leadership when necessary.
Working Conditions
