Position Description:

A full-time Postdoctoral Scholar position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Arlene Drack to lead translational studies in mice and prepare FDA required submissions for human clinical trials.

Education Requirement:

  • Ph.D., or MD/PhD in genetics or a related discipline

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in mouse techniques including ERG, visually guided swim assay, immunohistochemistry, electron microscopy and mouse handling

  • In depth knowledge of mouse genetics and phenotype of ciliopathies in mice

  • Interest and experience in gene repair/replacement techniques for retinal degenerations

  • Research article authorship in peer reviewed journals commensurate with years of experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully design experiments independently and in partnership with the PI and other lab members.
