The Pitt-Bradford is looking for a detail-oriented team-player to be our Business Affairs Specialist. This is a 12-month, full-time staff position reporting to the Director of Business Affairs. This department is the perfect fit for a practiced professional that possesses both a good sense of humor and positive outlook!
Hiring Range: $45,000 – $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Duties:
- Perform accounts payable and receivable tasks.
- Prepare and maintain excel spreadsheets.
- Prepare and process expense reports in Concur.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Research and answer supplier inquiries.
- Carry out month-end activities.
- Create and maintain electronic and hard copy records.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Perform general administrative duties.
- Comply with university policy.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Master’s degree preferred, but not required. A minimum of Two years experience working in business operations, finance, or higher education, but additional experience is highly valued.

- Knowledge of general budgeting and fund accounting
Creates, monitors, analyzes, and reconciles budgets and purchasing services. Processes and reconciles financial transactions; prepares disbursement requests and financial reports. Resolves transactions issues. Collaborates to resolve transfer issues, test new transfer processes, and resolve complex payment issues.
Able to work independently, with minimal assistance from supervisor
Efficient and focused yet able to successfully work in an environment with frequent interruptions
Pleasant and helpful to anyone needing assistance
Discreet and able to maintain confidentiality
Calculate figures and check for accuracy
Identifies/discusses questions or discrepancies
Reconciles financial statements and reports
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
