To learn more about UT Libraries, please visit our website: https://www.lib.utexas.edu/ Purpose UT Libraries seeks an organized, detail-oriented manager with a focus on excellent, customer-centered management to supervise a dynamic team that supports the financial and administrative operations of the UT Libraries. Responsibilities Staff and Office Management: Supervise and develop a team of five professionals. Provide support and training to ensure an effective mix of specialization and cross-training. Develop or enhance workflows to ensure equitable and effective coverage of the Administrative Services operation. Financial Expenses Oversight: Review and approve travel and entertainment reimbursements, vendor payments, and interdepartmental vouchers. Review and approve all departmental purchase requests, purchase orders, and contracts including interdepartmental memorandums of understanding. Establish best practices and make recommendations to streamline internal processes and provide greater transparency and risk reduction. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and university policies. Report Preparation: Produce financial reports and assist with quarterly budget report preparation for the Chief Financial Officer. Perform financial analysis of accounts and programs. Assist with annual budget recommendations and projections. Review team reports and provide ad hoc financial reports as requested. Account Management and Reconciliation: Monitor account balances, expenditures, and encumbrances. Oversee reconciliation of accounts. Request new accounts. Manage accounts receivables and Library Business Services including our services portal Library Services Shop. Other related functions as assigned. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Six years of progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting with experience in planning, forecasting, and financial analysis. Three years of supervisory experience Commitment to creating a welcoming environment that values different perspectives and approaches. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on diplomacy and discretion. Experience being progressively responsible for procurement and payment processing. Demonstrated ability to plan, initiate, and complete assignments with minimal direction. Demonstrated high attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workflows and meet deadlines. Demonstrated experience showing resourcefulness and persistence in problem solving. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration Experience at UT Austin, or a university environment. More than six years of financial or accounting experience. More than three years of management experience with full-time, salaried staff. Experience with university administrative systems such as *DEFINE, FRMS, Cognos, and Workday. Salary Range $72,000 depending on qualifications Work Conditions Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Prolonged screen time Typical library and office conditions Work Shift Monday-Friday, between the hours of 7am and 6pm.; flexible work arrangements available.
