Responsibilities Lead BI developer delivering quantitative and qualitative analyses on a broad array of issues to inform strategic decision making for Annual Giving team Establish key metrics, create review cycle, and provide insights on donor and prospect intelligence Uses strong understanding of program audience segmentation to drive growth Partner with creative and campaign teams to optimize content Develop and deliver reporting and analytics solutions designed to translate data into actionable business intelligence. Work with other analysts/developers to consult with stakeholders to determine reporting needs and define reporting solutions to meet requirements Identify, retrieve, query, and append data from internal databases and external data sources in support of reporting and analytics operations (i.e., complex queries for list generation) Cultivate and maintain expertise on University of Texas alumni and donor data Validate, enhance and trouble shoot reports. Fulfilling ad hoc data requests as needed Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Three years of SQL development. Two years of Python development. Three years working with relational databases. Two years of professional experience working as a marketing analyst, data analyst, or business intelligence analyst/developer. Two years of working with BI reporting tools such as Tableau, Cognos, or PowerBI. One years developing reports against APIs. Advanced Excel expertise. Comfort working with unstructured data. Demonstrable experience with data security. Familiarity with fundraising and development terminology and related business processes. Familiarity with annual giving fundraising analytics, campaigns, metrics and KPI’s. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated understanding of email marketing best practices. Experience with A/B test plan methodologies and reporting. Ability to shift priorities quickly, without losing track of projects. Ability to work collaboratively with data management and annual giving team. Aptitude at acquiring business knowledge and translating business needs. Practitioner of quality assurance and testing methodologies. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Advanced expertise in python and SQL programming. Five years of professional experience working as a marketing analyst, data analyst, business analyst, or application developer. Experience with campaign management tools such as Oracle Eloqua.
