Job Summary
The Transcript Evaluator systematically provides and maintains new & transfer credit evaluation processes that meet the needs of the University, and State policy. Systematic evaluation and articulation of posted new & transfer credits to student accounts. Evaluating student degrees who become core complete at UT Tyler, including documentation of milestones on transcripts.
Provide training and consultation to advising community on core course requirements and core complete status.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks

Responsible for transfer credit evaluation processes and review of credits applied to the Texas Core Curriculum.
Documents milestone achievements on transcripts. - Provide and maintain a credit evaluation process that meets the University and State requirements.
- Assigns course credits, equivalences, exceptions, and test scores to degree requirements after students are admitted for new and transfer students and performs core hour and graduation review audits throughout the student life-cycle.
- Maintain quality review for graduating students.
- Correspond with colleges, academic advising community, and other internal constituents regarding Core Curriculum requirements, credits earned by examination (AP, CLEP, etc.), international credit evaluations, and transfer credits.
- Provide training and consultation to advising community on core course requirements and core complete status.
- Perform research of course descriptions, syllabus text, catalog copy, institutional websites, State of Texas resource websites (Administrative Code, TCCNS, WECM, etc.), training documentation, and other data sources.
- Supports and executes customer service directives of other Office of the Registrar & Enrollment Management programs such the One-Stop Services Center, University Contact Center, the testing of functional technology, and the Graduation Help Desk.
- Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities related to those enumerated above which do not alter the basic level of responsibility of the position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience
- Two (2) years of experience in a position requiring considerable record keeping accuracy.
- Strong background customer service experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Exhibited proficiency with PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office, and ImageNow software.
- Knowledge and experience in the area of the University Registrar operations.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
