Associate Director of Professional Development
Job Description
The University of Tulsa College of Law seeks an Associate Director of Professional Development. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position assisting the Associate Dean of Professional Development in the delivery of a comprehensive professional development program for students and alumni of the College of Law. The Associate Director will be responsible for supporting the Associate Dean in all endeavors of the Professional Development Office, including: marketing law students and graduates in a broad spectrum of professional opportunities; planning and implementing educational programs; planning, counseling and assisting students with career and networking strategies; facilitating the Licensed Legal Intern and Mentoring programs at the direction of the Associate Dean; assisting in the on-campus and off-campus interviewing programs; assisting with compilation of statistical data as requested; community outreach; and providing excellent customer service to TU Law students and alumni. The Associate Director will also take on other responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Dean.
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school; member of the Oklahoma Bar Association or willing to become a member; three years legal practice experience and/or previous law school career services experience or experience in recruiting for legal employers; ability to develop and implement educational programs, excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills; superior interpersonal and oral presentation skills; word processing and technical skills; ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to do some weekend travel; ability to appreciate cultural diversity in communications with all groups associated with the University; dedication to providing excellent customer service for TU College of Law students and alumni; passionate about the TU College of Law mission; and desire for a fast-paced work environment while working with a variety of constituencies internal and external to the College of Law.
Preferred Qualifications
