Temporary Position - PT Sales Associate - Gilcrease Museum
Job Description
The Sales Associate reports directly to the Store/Visitor Services Director. The Sales Associate is responsible for all sales activities at Gilcrease’s temporary retail location at 101 Archer, including greeting customers, answering questions, suggesting items, providing product information, and assisting in the execution of on-site events/programs. Individual responsibilities include demonstrating outstanding customer service and selling skills, keeping the sales floor clean and stocked with merchandise and supplies, addressing customer needs, assisting in the display of merchandise, and processing merchandise and membership sales transactions. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, prompt, able to work independently, possesses solid problem-solving and time-management skills and has an interest in art, museums, and the Tulsa community.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have previous retail/cash handling experience or similar experience
- Available to work a variety of hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Proficient in verbal and written English language
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Spanish a plus
Physical Demands
Working Hours:
Approximately 10-15 hours a week, Friday and Saturday. Store hours are 12-5pm, with extended hours once a month on First Friday.
