Retail Store Associates

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our team at The UPS Store, Franchise location in Lemont. As a Retail Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and supporting sales growth in our store. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner; determine customer needs, and how to exceed their expectations

- Deliver exceptional customer service through customer engagement and quality product delivery

- Be knowledgeable of solutions, products and services offered and properly promote them to customers

- Identify customer needs and offer additional services which could benefit them; Upsell and Cross sell solutions and products to maximize revenue

- Receive, sort and place mail in mailboxes accurately

- Record all sales transactions completely and accurately in Point of Sale system

- Pack contents for shipping using established procedures and products

- Receive and prepare documents for printing

- Receive and process packages for shipping, including lifting and weighing packages, accessing shipment manifesting software, and generating labels

- Assist in merchandising the store, including: stocking shelves with product, ensuring clean and orderly appearance of product, informing appropriate personnel of inventory levels for re-ordering supplies

- Perform end of day duties: reconciliation of cash, checks, money orders, credit cards, and all other transactions accurately and in accordance with store policy and procedure

- Operate copiers, fax machines, binding equipment and all other office machines in a safe, efficient and productive manner

- Help customers operate office machines located in retail area

- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints

- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers

Qualifications:
- Previous retail sales experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Knowledge of retail math principles
- Ability to operate a cash register or POS system
- Organizational skills to maintain inventory and merchandise displays
- Multilingual abilities are a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
