At The UPS Store Assistant Managers aid Store Managers in strengthening the skills of team members while successfully completing administrative tasks free of error.

The UPS Store is a Franchise subsidiary of the United Parcel Service. Each store is individually owned and operated by members of the community. We work closely with local UPS drivers but do not handle package deliveries or driver routes.
Our services focus on helping a wide variety of clients from small businesses to individuals, and eCommerce through packing and shipping, mailboxes, graphic design, printing, notary, and more.

Experience
- 6 months customer service management experience leading and developing teams to achieve business goals.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Creative Suites, or the ability to learn new software is highly desirable.
- Experience giving individual performance reviews, coaching, and critiques to employees is a plus.
Daily Duties and Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome customers. Thank them for their patience while other guests are being helped.
- Ask questions to understand what the customer needs to achieve during their visit.
- Display product knowledge by educating guests on the best solution for their needs.
- Create shipping labels for domestic and international shipments via multiple carrier options.
- Follow packaging guidelines to ensure all outbound packages are safe for transport.
- Sort mail and package deliveries for Postal Mailbox Holders.
- Use the computer to print various documents for guests.
- Answer phone calls and emails promptly.
- Uphold Retail Readiness by ensuring the center is clean and fully stocked during business hours.
- Perform end-of-day duties: reconciliation of cash, checks, credit cards, and all other transactions accurately and in accordance with company policy and procedure.
Communication Skills
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain harmonious relationships with coworkers and customers in person and over the phone.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, free of spelling and grammatical errors.
Other Skills and Requirements
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Flexible availability Monday – Saturday with some Sundays.
- Manual hand dexterity required to operate POS, copiers and binding machinery, packaging tools, and complete customer paperwork.
- Capable of becoming a licensed notary in the state.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
