Part-Time Center Associate

Job Summary:
The Part-Time Center Associate at The UPS Store Highland Road #3758 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to customers while efficiently and accurately processing packages and documents. This individual contributor role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing assistance and answering questions as needed
- Process incoming and outgoing packages and mail, ensuring accuracy in labeling and tracking
- Operate various office equipment such as printers, copiers, and fax machines
- Assist customers with shipping and packaging needs, including recommending appropriate packaging materials and shipping methods
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and securely
- Follow all company guidelines and procedures for handling packages and operating equipment
- Provide information and resources to customers regarding UPS services and products
- Attend training sessions and stay updated on UPS policies and procedures

Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Prior customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and math skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- Proficient in English (Spanish language skills a plus)
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
