Job Title: Shipping and Printing
Job Summary: To ensure each customer receives an experience, in line with The UPS Store expectations, by providing efficient and effective customer-based service.
Skills & Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication; retail sales/customer service experience, able to do simple math calculations, working knowledge of Office suite, Adobe, Corel or other Graphic software, able to operate various office equipment, knowledge of telephone etiquette, able to lift up to 50 – 75 lbs, with assistance, able to multi-task, detail-oriented and work in a fast-paced environment in order to meet daily deadlines, critical thinking and problem solving, customer service and proactive mindset, able to stand or sit for long periods of time, able to work independently or as part of a team, available weekend and evening hours, a valid driver’s license.
Duties and Responsibilities: Greet customers, determine their needs and expectations, including up-selling and cross-selling of products and services, for customer satisfaction; Receive, sort and place mail in mailbox modules accurately and with efficiency; Assist customers face-to-face, by telephone or email in a professional and courteous manner; Able to accurately process all sales transactions on POS system, under the correct product, either by cash, check or debit/credit card; Dress according to The UPS Store uniform standards for a professional and business appearance; Receive and process packages for couriers, including lifting and weighing of packages on scale, assessing customer’s needs, accessing appropriate software to accurately enter data to produce package label;
Pack contents for shipping, using established procedures and products; Track and trace shipments. Deal with any problems proactively and process claims, if necessary; Assist in merchandising the center, including stocking shelves with product, making sure copier paper trays are filled throughout the day; ensuring a clean and orderly appearance of product; informing appropriate personnel of inventory levels for re-ordering supplies; Operate copiers, fax machines, binding equipment and all other office machines in a safe, efficient and productive manner. Providing service for customer or assisting customer to operate appropriate equipment when necessary;
Complete daily opening procedures in place, including cash float, all equipment turned on for the day, checking emails, phone messages, opening security gate;
Complete daily closing procedures in place, including reconciliation of cash, checks, credit/debit cards and preparation of daily bank deposits, close security gate and make sure all equipment turned off;
General housekeeping including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of all glass surfaces, emptying trash daily and kitchen/bathroom areas.
Hours: Our hours of operation at this location are as follows;
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 6:30 pm & Saturday 9:30 am - 3:00 pm
**PART TIME POSITION (20-25 HOURS,PAID SCHEDULE IS BI-WEEKLY) LOOKING FOR EVENING SHIFTS AND HAVE WEEKEND AVAILABILITY**
