General Counsel

JOB SUMMARY: We are actively hiring a dedicated General Counsel to lead and manage all legal affairs within the organization. This position will report to the CFO and will provide strategic legal advice and counsel on a diverse array of matters including, but not limited to, contracts and agreements, regulatory compliance, employment law, and intellectual property. This role requires a legal professional who is not only adept at mitigating risks but also at seizing opportunities that align with our business objectives.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and implement legal strategies that support the companys business goals. Provide proactive legal advice to the organization.Review, negotiate, and finalize various contracts and customer agreements ensuring that the companys interests are protected, and regulatory requirements are met.Advise on employment-related matters including employment agreements, employee relations, labor law compliance, and employment litigation.Assist with legal processes related to company expansion, including mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in new markets.Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes, including coordinating with external legal counsel as necessary.Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including industry specific regulations.Identify potential legal risks and develop mitigation strategies.Directs and oversees administration of the Risk Department.Administers the Land and Marine Insurance Program.Directs and oversees the administration of all incident response, claims, and litigation.Oversee recovery procedures on all claims involving third party liabilities.Serves as principal point of contact and liaison with internal and external constituencies on all risk management and insurance issues.
