Qualifications
- Extremely detail-oriented and very well organized
- Ability to commit to weekend wedding days 12 months in advance
- Confident, feels comfortable being in charge and managing a large group of people
- Quick and joyful learner, fun-loving and genuine person with a sense of humor
- Interested in growing and building with the company
- 2-3 references
- Experience working within event planning preferably in a wedding event space
- Demonstrated ability to maintain positive relations with faculty, staff, work associates, and clients
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Computer skills and excellent telephone and communication skills
- Experience in event and project management
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles and practices of event management
Responsibilities
- Coordinate weddings by managing all client details, vendors, and day-of logistics 1-3 months before until the day of the wedding
- Have planning meetings with couples ahead of wedding date
- Update and manage timelines
- Answer couple and vendor questions prior to wedding day
- Be the point person on Wedding Day
- Set up and sometimes tear down of couple’s décor items
- Manage timeline and flow of events on wedding day
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
