We are currently seeking candidates to fill a Supervisor – Production, 1st
shift assignment at our Caledonia, MI, location. This is a 4-day, 10-hour-per-day, Monday - Thursday schedule, starting at 6:30 am. This position will manage day-to-day operations on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, strong technical knowledge, and exceptional problem-solving skills. Additionally, they will need to understand production schedules, efficiently manage labor, enforce safety regulations, and effectively communicate with different departments to ensure all customer needs are met.
Supervisor - Production Duties:
Periodically inspects products to verify conformance to specifications.
Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers and assigns duties.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Maintains time and production records through use of DSI system.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisor - Production Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 3 - 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Familiar with reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Experience in a CNC Manufacturing environment is required.
