Overview: Provide beauty services for community residents in accordance with the resident handbook. Reports to Salon Supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays
• Provide hairstyling services for residents including cut, wash & style, color, and permanent wave
• Provide basic manicure services including polishing and nail clipping
• Provide tweezing and waxing of facial hair
• Keep workstations and salons clean, and sanitize tools such as scissors, nail clippers and combs in accordance with the Department of Professional Regulation
• Schedule resident appointments
• Document and track all services provided for accurate payroll and resident billing
• Assist residents with transfers and ambulation or request assistance from nursing staff when necessary
• Maintain clean and professional appearance
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Attend departmental education and all required in-service training/education
• Maintain confidentiality of resident/family and facility information
• Provide quality customer service in all interactions with residents, guests and staff
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current, valid cosmetology license
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a hairstylist in a salon environment
• Experience in working with senior population preferred
