Bakery Cashier/ Hostess/ Host Qualifications
Description: Looking for a friendly, high energy, and positive individual. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking cash/credit payments, seating tables, answering the phone, stocking baked goods, and providing table service for dine-in guests purchasing desserts. We strive to ensure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a hosting position, be familiar with operating a POS, and be outgoing and able to upsell.
Duties:
- Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
- Operates the POS.
- Welcomes guest to the venue and thanks them upon their departure.
- Provides accurate wait times and monitors waiting lists.
- Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas.
- Provides menus/silverware.
- Manages reservations.
- Answers the phone.
- Collects payments by accepting cash or charge payments from customers and makes change for cash customers.
- Provides pricing information by answering questions.
- Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Restocks bakery items and complete all tasks assigned by management.
- Upsells.
- Provides table service for dine-in guests that purchase desserts.
- Takes to-go orders.
Work Experience:
- 6 months – 1 yr. of previous retail/sales or hosting experience.
- High school diploma or hospitality certification is a plus but not required.
- Basic PC knowledge.
- Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $8.00 - $11.00 per hour
