Does the opportunity to provide therapy in a unique and non-traditional way seem intriguing to you? If so, we have the perfect position for you providing therapeutic services within multiple environments to improve the overall functioning of families and keep children out of the hospital.
IICAPS is an intensive in-home program for children at risk of psychiatric hospitalization and their families. IICAPS provides a unique opportunity to build strong connections to families in their natural environments. Family Support Specialists in the IICAPS program areresponsible for the provision of case management, support services, mental health services to children and families, or community programs, in coordination with other agency and community services. Services are provided in the office, home or host setting, to meet the unique needs of families served. IICAPS operates from a team approach and consists of a clinician and a family support specialist, both of whom participate in sessions and treatment meetings. Teams receive weekly group supervision and individual supervision. Teams are provided IICAPS model training provided by Yale Child Study Center as well as in-house training to promote clinical growth and development.

The Family Support Specialist is responsible for provision of case management, support services, mental health services to children and families, or community programs, in coordination with other agency and community services and documentation of services as required by program policies and funding sources. Provides service in the office, home or host setting, to meet the unique needs of families served.
