Summary
The Dishwasher plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community and creating a place our residents are proud to call home.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. You are responsible for cleaning and sorting all items that are delivered to the dish wash area.
Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Operation of the dish machine to include, scraping, soaking, stacking and racking of soiled dishes, glasses, utensils and other service wares.
- Return services wares to appropriate areas of storage once cleaned and sanitized.
- Keep all equipment (including racks, bus tubs and rack dollies clean, sanitized and organized).
- Remove all refuse generated throughout dietary department (including bagged refuse and recyclable cardboard).
- Responsible for maintenance of department floors which includes sweeping, mopping and scheduled stripping.
- Assist cooks with washing pots and pans.
- Clean work area according to schedules and assignments.
- Provide support services to other dining rooms and special programs as needed.
- Assist chef with preparing and/or dishing up desserts, garnishing plates, preparing and delivering room service trays, etc.
- Maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image.
- Attend and participate in-services as required by federal, state, and company requirements.
