What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at The Village?
SUMMARY:
The Host will greet and serve our guests. The Host will also assist with cleaning, resetting tables, and taking down orders. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets guests, cleans tables, and assists in other duties as assigned.
- Fills water bottles for guests and prepares coffee refills for servers.
- Fills water bottles for guests and prepares milk or juice for children.
- Fills condiments at the counter.
- Fills trash can with garbage bags when guests leave food dishes.
- Assists with food orders, food preparation, and table setting.
- Assists with cleaning of the restaurant during shifts and shifts end.
- Maintains cleanliness of the restaurant at all times through proper sanitation procedures; follows all rules, regulations, and guidelines; adheres to company policies and procedures; performs all duties in a safe manner by following all safety procedures; follows all personal protective equipment (PPE) rules and guidelines; wears proper PPE when needed; helps keep the work environment clean by keeping tables, floors, and restrooms clean; helps prevent shoplifting by following inventory control procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
