What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver (Liquor) position at The Villages?
Within the spirit of "Making People's Dreams Come True”, responsibilities of this position include driving a truck or automobile for the purpose of picking up empty kegs, CO2, and canisters and to record inventory. The position is also responsible for delivering kegs and other items while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Drive truck or automobile to deliver such items as beer, soft drinks, and liquor or wine orders for The Villages owned properties or other customers.
- Record transactions on customer receipt.
- Record sales and delivery information on daily sales/delivery record.
- Report service complaints to supervisor.
- Collect and/or pick up empty containers, rejected or unsold merchandise.
- Pull items from inventory and load truck for delivery.
- Maintain inside cleanliness of truck.
- Perform routine maintenance on truck and notify Retail Manager of needed repairs.
- Collect checks from customers.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to company standards.

- The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and talk or hear.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds of inventory, and more than 100 pounds of kegs and/or cases of liquor with or without the use of a hand dolly requiring high levels of leg, ankle, and foot manipulation.
- A back brace may be required to perform the functions of this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
