What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Data Specialist position at The Vollrath Company LLC?

The purpose of this position is to help Vollrath succeed at maintaining master data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Executes business processes and maintenance of various Master Data Management elements.
  • Ensures accurate data creation.
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of engineering processes and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains routings and bills of materials.
  • Maintains Master Data Management records in Vollrath’s ERP system to the highest level of accuracy.
  • Analyzes existing item related information to find missing data and correct inconsistencies to drive accurate reporting of corporate metrics.
  • Assists in developing, writing, and training others on item-related business processes to the organization.
  • Position may undertake larger roles such as representing Master Data Management in implementations and integrations projects.

Qualifications

  • 2 - 5 years experience working within an ERP software, JDE preferable. 
  • 1 - 3 years of experience of direct involvement with Master Data Management preferred.
  • AA/AS in business/computer science or equivalent work experience required.
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to collect and research data.
  • Exhibits good listening and comprehension skills.
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities.
  • Ability to perform advanced extraction/data manipulation needs for day to day job duties using Microsoft products and other tools are required.
  • Strong attention to detail required. 
  • Ability to perform intermediate Excel functions such as pivot tables, filters, sorting, and subtotals.
  • Understands basic concepts of relational database structures.
