We are currently recruiting a for a Grinder at our Newport, MN location. The city of Newport is located in Washington County along the Mississippi River, southeast of the city of Saint Paul.
The Newport, MN operation creates customized looks and creations with stainless steel or any material for commercial kitchens.
We have openings on 1st shift.
As a Grinder your job responsibilities include :
- Grind, file, or sand metal surfaces to remove burrs and sharp edges using hand tools and grinders.
- Grinding and polishing stainless steel welds back to a #4 finish.
- Visually and physically inspect parts for any dents or scratches that need to be removed.
- Strong understand of blueprint reading
- Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
- Interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine finish condition of work pieces, sequences of metal finishing operations, and set up requirements.
- Perform general cleanup duties of equipment and surrounding areas.
