WDSMPP is seeking a motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual to assist in upholding the WDSMPP administration management policies and procedures as well as supporting the efficient operation of the WDSMPP Post Production team. Reporting to the SVP of Post Production, the Manager will perform key administrative duties including all deal memos, electronic start packets, and contracts for editors and post production supervisors. Additionally, keeping all theatrical and Disney requirements up to date in the database is a critical part of the role. The Manager is also responsible for updating Studio applications with the most current post production schedules/dates.

Reports to: SVP, Post Production (Todd London)

Responsibilities :
  • Liaises with the post production team when New Hires are put on shows to get the deal points for the start paperwork and/or long-form contracts that will need to be created.
  • Provides the team with a weekly report (PostBoard) of the most current post-production schedule dates and input into the Studio application to feed into other reports (production status report and the Blue report, Studio One report).
  • Manages the Studios delivery requirements and specifications to provide to the shows, whether theatrical or Disney , and ensures these delivery requirements and specs updated in a customized database.
  • Notifies post finance for changes in delivery requirement/archives for potential impact to the budgets, as needed.
  • Works with Library Tech services to follow-through on all archive deliverables on all shows.
  • Works with the project attorney for acquisition titles to provide them with a delivery schedule that includes the studio specs; works alongside the post-executives to verify all information is accurate in the contract.
  • Acts as point person to manage Disney logos, in addition to the current progress of migrating to a digital management system.
  • Partners with the Animation team as the post production point person for the Disney nature franchise, specifically to convey schedule and delivery.
  • Knowledgeable about Editors Guild Local 700 and specific union rules for different jurisdictional areas.
  • Orders temps for the department.
  • Performs casual buyer duties for the department.
  • Acts as point person with the content security team for the 2nd floor restricted rooms.
  • Manages Distribution/Archive orders for all shows, which includes providing PO information on the orders and distributing to the Studio when complete.
  • Updates FileMaker databases for Editor and post production supervisors’ availability. These databases are used to pull editor or post supervisor lists to show filmmakers their availability.
  • Possesses strong systems and tools knowledge, including but not limited to:
    • FileMaker databases for post-production
    • Synchronize (storage of all production titles, central forms and reports)
    • GRID (repository of production data and post production dates).
    • Union Rostr (website)
    • Smart Start (electronic onboarding system)
    • SAP
    • DocuSign

Basic Qualifications :
  • Strong understanding of post-production workflows.
  • Minimum 5 years’ of relevant work experience, in the media/entertainment industry
  • Familiarity with common technical delivery requirements and specifications for streaming and theatrical projects.
  • Keen interest in technical specifications would be an asset
  • High level of integrity in handling proprietary and confidential information; promotes confidence with other employees in handling sensitive data.
  • Ability to work calmly, professionally, and collaboratively, under pressure, and with a variety of personalities, including the Disney teams, production companies and vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, ability to learn new software and technologies.
  • Self-starter, with a proactive can-do, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Outstanding communication skills, written and oral.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and FileMaker Pro
