Maintenance Director

Job Summary:

Directs maintenance operations by identifying requirements, forecasting resources, providing oversight for minor construction projects, capital improvement projects, and daily repair tasks. Assure timely completion of all tasks by providing direction to supervisors, technicians, engineers, and vendors.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door, or wall repair. Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.

- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems.

- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.

- Sheetrock repair, painting and various other make ready tasks for clients’ rooms and other areas of the facilities.

- Responsible for performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment.

- Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.

- Supervise and train maintenance techs.

- Maintain all machinery/equipment to ensure it’s at working standards. Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.

- Planning and managing all repair and installation activities.

- Manage work order system.

- Manage required inspections of various systems, and equipment

Positional Requirements & Qualifications:

● High School Diploma or equivalent.

● Associate degree preferred.

● At least five (5) years’ experience in building maintenance or related field.

Essential Physical Functions:

● Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.

● Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.

● Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.

● Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.

● Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull light weights.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
