Marketing Assistant The Washington Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a full-time Marketing Assistant who loves the arts and can thrive in a fast-paced environment that is engaging and rewarding. This position works directly under the Marketing & Sales Director to promote events and performances to support the organization’s mission.
Requirements/Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Theatre or Arts Administration preferred.
3-5 years of experience with marketing, communications, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
Must be able to work professionally, independently and as part of a small and dedicated team.
Ability to take a positive team approach to working with coworkers.
Commitment to the arts, community, and collaboration are essential.
Attention to detail, proof-reading, copy-editing skills.
Experience managing websites and Social Media marketing campaigns.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to leverage organizational and time-management skills for a fast-paced execution of tasks
An ability to engage and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Ability to use:
- Microsoft Office Suite - Adobe Creative Suite - Survey Monkey - WordPress - Mail Chimp - Canva
Willingness to learn Audience View ticketing software.
Experience in graphic design, video-editing software a plus.
Experience with Audience View a plus.
