What The Role Is

The Water Project is looking for an ambitious Operations Associate to support the day-to-day operations of our global non-profit. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to ensure smooth daily operations, performing various administrative tasks, and assisting other departments as needed to support our mission of providing clean water in sub-Saharan Africa. The ideal candidate is reliable, has amazing attention to detail, is process-oriented, and has a willingness to learn.


This is a part-time position to start (~20 hrs/wk) with the potential for converting to a full-time position in the future. This position will be based in our Concord, NH office (not remote).

 

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting Finance with the weekly processing of donor checks using spreadsheets, QuickBooks, and Salesforce, creating financial reports, and assisting accounting and payroll as needed.

  • Assisting HR with recruiting, administration of benefits, organizing team meals and events, and building company culture.

  • Providing as-needed support to the Marketing and Philanthropy teams, for example, helping with campaigns, mailings, or other donor-related tasks during times of demand.

  • Maintaining the office with collecting and managing mail, monitoring the inventory and ordering of office supplies, and generally keeping the work environment organized and comfortable for employees, volunteers, and visitors.

  • Helping employees with various IT-related needs.

  • Completing other general administrative duties as needed.

Your qualifications must include:

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Experience in an administrative role.

  • Experience working with spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel).

  • Experience with data entry and creating intuitive data reports.

  • Salesforce experience is a plus.

  • Willingness to learn and ability to pick up new skills
