Our Magnolia Trails communities offer specialized memory care in a homelike environment for seniors with Alzheimer's or dementia. Through this person-centered approach, we provide residents with a tailored care plan encompassing daily care, the physical environment, activities, meaningful connections and nutrition. This position is part time, 23 hours/week at $17/hour. Typical schedule is Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 9:45am to 2:45pm. Tuesday 10:00am-2:00pm. Thursday 12:00pm-4:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends for special events.
Activities Assistant/Driver Responsibilities include:
- Interacts with residents, families, staff, and other visitors in a pleasant, respectful, and courteous.
- Supports resident independent recreation, based on individual preferences.
- Sets up and hosts a variety of activities including exercise classes, crafts, brain games and more
- Ensures the residents' right to make personal choices in agreement with the residents' service plan
- Responsible for picking up and delivering residents to routed stops including activity outings and private appointments. Assists residents in and out of vehicles.
- Operates vehicles in a safe and clean fashion.
Qualifications:
- Enjoy providing exceptional customer service and care to our senior residents.
- Appreciate the value of being a dependable & responsible member of greater team.
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
- As required by law, has a valid driver's license. CDL endorsement preferred but not required.
- Minimum of one-year successful experience operating a bus is preferred.
- Prior experience working with seniors preferred
