The Waverly Group is looking for multiple full-time paraprofessionals (RBTs) to positively impact a child’s education in school settings.
Paraprofessional/ABA Instructor - Training as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- The Waverly Group is currently looking for a motivated team player to work full-time in a school setting to provide ABA therapy and support for children with special needs.
- The Paraprofessional will work closely with a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and
- Special Education teacher to implement each student’s educational and behavioral programs. This position is dedicated to increasing social skills, academic skills, language skills, and promoting independence.

The Waverly Group is a collaborative, multidisciplinary pediatric therapy center located in Old Greenwich, CT. We work with children, families, and schools, providing support for behavioral, educational, psychological, speech and language, nutritional, and occupational challenges. Primary Responsibilities:
- Obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential: The Waverly Group will provide coursework, training, and compensation for certification exams, enabling candidates to sit for certification examination and ongoing supervision to maintain credential.
- Opportunity to attend and learn about various areas of practice within the field of psychology, education, and related therapies.
- Provide 1:1 school-based interventions
- Assist with parent/teacher communication, while also maintaining confidential information of co-workers, children, and families.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of teaching procedures with BCBAs and other school team members.
- Communicate with additional team members and supervisors regularly.
- Create learning materials and stimuli to support children and families.
- Participate in RBT meetings with other clinicians.
- Participate in additional team meetings as requested.
- Assist BCBAs and other supervisors directly.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in psychology, education, or related field).
- Experience working with children.
- Experience in the field of special needs children is preferred, but not required.
- Laptop or personal electronic device for data collection.
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and display flexibility.
- High ethical and professional standards.
- Enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Willingness to learn new clinical skills.
- Ability to work as a team player while also taking initiative is essential.
- Ability to receive and provide collaborative feedback to/from team members.
- Physical Requirements: able to maintain the physical capacity required to navigate the school environment and to ensure the safety of the students; the ability to… walk, run, sit, and stand move rapidly forward, backward, and laterally bend and stoop push, pull, and lift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
