Job Summary:
The IT Manager will oversee the IT operations within the organization, ensuring the alignment of IT strategies with business goals. This role involves managing outsourced IT vendors, our IT infrastructure, and ensuring the security and efficiency of IT systems. The IT Manager will also be responsible for project planning and budget control to support the organization's technological needs. Strong leadership, communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of IT systems and best practices are essential for this position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the IT team, including outsourced vendors and support services.
- Develop and implement IT strategies in line with organizational objectives.
- Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Oversee IT projects from the planning phase through to execution, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to streamline the onboarding/offboarding process for employees, ensuring timely and efficient acquisition and retrieval of equipment and set-up of both hardware and software.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the company’s data and IT systems.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and meet their IT needs.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and support to staff, addressing and resolving IT-related issues at all locations.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Use data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Comply with established company work rules, policies, and procedures.
- Actively engage with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
- Cooperatively takes on other duties, roles, or responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience with network administration and system security.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar role.
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) Certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to access various departments of a given location.
- Ability to travel to various worksites/locations.
- Lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary Range: $85,000 to $100,000 commensurate with experience
