This position earns a competitive wage of $20.00/hour $24960/annually. Founded in 1977, our mission is to provide safety, shelter, and support to empower all impacted by domestic abuse, sexual violence, child abuse, and trafficking. We offer 24-Hour Hotline support, an emergency shelter, transitional living, one on one support, support groups, employment and life skills, rape crisis response, and community education. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Volunteer Coordinator
In the volunteer coordinator position, no two days are alike! Your week will be filled with organizing and coordinating with individuals, corporations, and groups who would like to volunteer, working with internal staff to establish the tasks and priorities that need to be completed by volunteers, and ensuring all current and regular volunteers have their needs met and are happy in their roles, screen, and onboard new a prospective volunteers, track volunteer hours and contact info in our database, maintain our in-kind donation process, present to local groups and community organizations to promote the work and mission of The Women's Center and identify and address any issues or challenges within the volunteer program.
The months of November and December are especially busy for the volunteer coordinator as we run our two Holiday programs- Thanksgiving and December food boxes and our gift-giving program. The planning, running, and implementation of this program is the sole responsibility of this position and requires a high level of organizational and communication skills.

WORK SCHEDULE FOR The Volunteer Position
This position will work approximately 24 hours a week (with the ability to add hours during November and December to accommodate the increased workload). They are expected to be onsite whenever volunteer groups are scheduled and will be required to work evenings and weekends as required.
