What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at The Woods?
Day & Evening shifts. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills and be both personable and presentable. Servers must provide a positive guest experience by waiting on customers in a friendly and efficient manner. Servers are expected to be attentive to our guest's needs and to make them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. Must be dependable and work hours as scheduled.
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Preparation of tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks.
- Greeting all guests and members warmly and appropriately.
- Keeping abreast of menu choices, specials, and menu substitutions, knowing if the kitchen is running low on any items.
- Presenting menus, suggesting dishes, informing customers about food preparation details, assisting with drink selection, offering desserts, communicating specific customer needs to the kitchen.
- Maintaining a pleasant dining experience: Inquiring if meals are satisfactory, removing finished courses promptly, refilling glasses, paying attention to details.
- Properly opening and pouring wine at tableside.
- Possessing basic computer skills that will facilitate entering orders, processing payments, and issuing receipts.
- Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
- Possessing the ability to work as part of a team.
- Adherence to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
Previous server experience preferred.
Ability to work all shifts preferred.
