What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipper/Receiver Lead position at The WorkSmart Group?
Summary: The Shipping/Receiving Lead will control shipping functions to maintain the accuracy of orders, shipments, and on-time delivery. Supervisory Responsibilities: ? None. Duties/Responsibilities: ? Confirms shipping methods and creates Bill of Lading. ? Creates shipping labels for UPS and FedEx shipments. ? Creates and maintains a list of all LTL carriers. ? Communicates with LTL carriers and customers via phone, email, and face-to-face communication as needed. ? Accurately reports shipping details when scheduling a pickup/delivery (ex. number of skids, dimensions, shipping location, etc.). ? Performs warehouse-related duties (ex. pack/unpack boxes, label materials, store products in designated locations, etc.). ? Performs shipping-related duties (ex. print labels, wrap parts, prepare orders, build pack lists, load/unload deliveries, etc.). ? Compares part numbers, labels, and packing lists when preparing a customer shipment. ? Ability to identify parts by comparing to customer prints. ? Performs physical counts of materials to ensure inventory accuracy. ? Performs visual quality checks of products received and parts shipping to customers. ? Accurately maintains spreadsheets with the ability to use a barcode scanner. ? Receives and ships products and materials from an ERP System. ? Handles paperwork that may require printing, scanning, shredding, obtaining a signature, etc. ? Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, packing/wrapping, and other machinery in a safe manner. ? Maintains 6S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) standards in all workstations. ? Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor. Required Skills/Abilities: ? Mechanical inclination.
