Position Overview:
The position of Lunch Aid at Yay is a vital role that provides a positive experience for the school community by exuding a helpful, friendly and professional demeanor that aligns with our culture, and has knowledge of our goals and branding.
This position ensures fresh meals are provided to schools daily through delivery and distribution of Grand and Go items. If stationed at a school that has Full Service, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging dining experience for students, faculty, and staff where Yay operates all day.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver fresh meals to schools in timely and efficient manner
- Set up meals for students according to Yay standards, including food, utensils, and condiments
- Oversee checkout using iPads
- Maintain Grab and Go, including cleanliness, organization, stocking, labeling and storage
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Daily inventory and logging waste management
- Maintain ServSafe certification (paid for by Yay)
If located at a Full Service school location, will also:
- Assist with light food preparation
- Participate in periodic training programs and workshops
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, food service, or hospitality preferred
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Flexibility to work morning and afternoon hours (most positions will be part-time, 20-30 hours/week)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Listed as policy holder or covered driver on auto insurance
- Ability to pass a background check, including clean driving record
- Smart phone
Compensation:
- $18/hr
- Data stipend
- Mileage reimbursement for schools that require lunch delivery & distribution
