Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech Language Pathologist to provide home-based assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to individuals of all ages with communication and/or swallowing disorders. The SLP will travel to the homes of children and family clients throughout Brooklyn and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of communication and/or swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans to address client needs
- Provide education and counseling to clients and families regarding communication and swallowing strategies
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in adherence with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Active New York State Speech-Language Pathology license
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with clients of all ages in a home health or community setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
