What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Counselor - Full-Time position at Therapy Source?
As part of our mission to pave the way for children's success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a School Counselor to provide in-person services for public school students. Applicants must have a Master's degree in Counseling and school-based experience. This position is for the 2023/2024 school year, starting August 15, 2023.
School Counselor Days/Hours Needed: Monday-Friday/ 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
School Counselor Salary Range: $30-$40 per hour
School Counselor Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling
- School-based experience
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
School Counselor Responsibilities Include:
- Identifying and assessing students in need of trauma support
- Conducting trauma-informed therapy and counseling interventions for at-risk students in individual, group, or family settings
- Responding to progress monitoring results and student assessment data
- Provide case management and direct intervention to students and families experiencing trauma, including those from low-income households, those who are homeless or in foster care, and students involved in the criminal justice system or experiencing mental illness or substance abuse disorder.
