Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians in performing catheterization procedures and other cardiac interventions in the catheterization laboratory. The Cath Lab Technologist will be required to operate specialized imaging equipment, monitor patients during procedures, and ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physicians in performing catheterization procedures, including angioplasty, stent placement, and pacemaker implantation
- Operate imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy machines and ultrasound systems, to guide catheter placement
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures and respond to any changes in condition
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures and patient data
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology or related field
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT)
- Previous experience working in a catheterization laboratory or interventional cardiology setting
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
