Job Title: Sonographer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients in order to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. The Sonographer will utilize advanced imaging technology to produce high-quality images of the body's internal structures. This individual must have a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients in various healthcare settings
- Capture images of the body's internal structures and organs for diagnostic purposes
- Interpret ultrasound images and provide preliminary findings to physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure proper patient care
- Maintain detailed records of procedures and patient information
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain equipment in proper working condition
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and software
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
