Thermal Equipment Sales, Inc. was incorporated in February of 1957 and has been representing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) manufacturers ever since.
Thermal Equipment Sales, Inc. has become a leader in the HVAC sales industry in the state of Kentucky by conducting business with a high level of competence, product knowledge, honesty and integrity above and beyond. Our firm works closely with consulting engineers and mechanical contractors to design, sell, and service HVAC equipment on new construction projects, renovation projects, and replacement projects.
An individual in this position should have strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, as well as a high technical ability. This individual will be asked to communicate with clients via phone/e-mail/face to face. Travel to out of state jobs sites will be required. A background in construction project management or a degree in construction management are a plus.
Primary Functions
- Review and understand technical specifications, plans and our scope of work.
- Gain a general understanding of project terms and conditions in order to properly manage equipment schedules with manufacturers and customer expectations.
- Work with several different contractors on projects to help ensure they remain on schedule in their respective scope of work and help ensure they are coordinated well with each other. The goal is to keep the project on schedule.
- Perform contract administration duties such as writing subcontract agreements and completing project closeout documents.
- Manage and prioritize workload as customer defined deadlines are requested, making adjustments on a daily basis as needed to stay on schedule.
- Communicate ship dates and coordinate logistics with installing contactors.
- Manage turn-key equipment replacement projects including the management of subcontractors.
- Perform field measurements to verify equipment fit.
- Coordinate startup services with sub-contractor performing startup. Work with in-house warranty and technical sales support team to resolve equipment operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Protect our reputation and the reputation of the manufacturer we sell by providing world-class customer service and quick resolution to any equipment issues that may arise.
Education, Abilities, and Skills
· BS Degree in Construction Management; or similar Construction related degree; or extensive industry experience.
- General computer knowledge with emphasis in the following software applications: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to climb a ladder and safely navigate a construction site, can lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to drive a forklift and obtain a forklift safety certificate.
- Proficient in creating and maintaining a project schedule.
- Proficient in technical writing that will be utilized in all forms of internal and field communication.
- Must be a team player that can communicate and excel in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate well verbally and visualize concepts.
- Great organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks on time.
- Must be able to master several software programs from the manufactures represented by Thermal.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
