MEDICAL EDITOR (US, UK) - Evidera
  • We are looking to fill this role remotely or in one of our office locations in the UK or US


The Editorial & Design Services (EDS) team is a group of highly skilled medical editors and graphic designers whose technical proficiency, focus on quality, and professionalism add value to a variety of study documents at each level of client engagement. Our experienced medical editors improve overall readability and ensure that a final deliverable is clean, accurate, logical, consistent, and impactful. Our expert graphic designers work with internal and external clients to transform complex scientific information into highly designed, meaningful imagery.


Position Overview:

The team is currently seeking a full-time Medical Editor, ideally with demonstrated editorial experience and ability. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a solid working knowledge of English grammar and technical editing conventions
  • Have a keen eye for detail
  • Be able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrate proficient communication, organizational, and time management skills to meet multiple, often competing deadlines
  • Ideally have experience working in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare spaces


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Formats internal and external deliverables to meet applicable quality standards, including Evidera’s in-house style guide
  • Copyedits internal and external deliverables to meet applicable quality standards, including Evidera’s in-house style guide
  • Designs poster content using Adobe InDesign and/or PowerPoint
  • Creates basic charts and graphics, as requested
  • Manages time efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of quality deliverables to customers


Education, Professional Skills, & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) and at least 2 years of editorial experience, with an emphasis on copyediting, in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare spaces
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office package, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Adobe InDesign, and/or EndNote is a plus

Personal Skills & Competencies:

  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must demonstrate effective communication skills, professionalism, and responsiveness with teammates and internal customers
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
