How Will You Make an Impact?
The Senior Finance Manager will serve as the finance lead for the Laboratory Analytical Reagents business unit (LAR) within the Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD). This position is responsible for driving business decisions through effective analysis and communication with senior management. What Will You Do?
- Lead and influence the reporting, analysis, forecasting, Monthly Business Review (MBR), and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) processes, and help to drive the long-term strategic plan that's critical to the success of the business unit
- Coordinate with the VP/GM and senior management to gather, analyze, and communicate recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, and operating forecasts to ensure efficient business decisions
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies: to include both financial risk and business performance risk
- Drive business case preparation and financial analysis, including financial modeling to ensure appropriate resource allocation and return on investment
- Provide leadership among the finance team, constantly raising the bar of expectation and helping to develop a world class finance organization
- Lead through system and data complexities to streamline processes and enable inquisitive business decisions
- Set the example of continuous process improvement, and drive the company's PPI Business System across the business and function
- Drive consistency and best practice sharing at the site, business unit, and division level.
- Identify, lead, and support profitable growth initiatives
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity of financial data
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required
- MBA preferred
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of multifaceted finance experience with a focus on analyzing and interpreting data to evaluate business performance and drive effective business decision making
- Experience in a large, multi-currency, international operating company
- Business modeling and forecasting including strong understanding of pricing models, sales trends, and financial documents
- Proven track record of business leader support

- Expertise in Microsoft Office tools, particularly sophisticated business modeling in Excel
- Systems experience: COGNOS, Hyperion Financial Management / Essbase / Planning, Power BI a plus
