Position Summary:
This position is responsible for meeting production standards of dispensing chemicals into small containers while following all required safety protocol.
Responsibilities/Duties: Includes but not limited to the following:
1. Follow instructions both written and oral.
2. Competent in handling chemicals to and from storage cabinets, mix and dispense chemical into small containers.
3. Read and understand MSDS’s.
4. Monitor equipment for proper working order.
5. Complete paperwork as required and verify other operators work (process flow sheets).
6. General housekeeping. In addition, all other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
EDUCATION/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 1 year of training. High school diploma or GED
EQUIPMENT: Pipette dispenser, set and calibrate automatic chemical dispenser, capping and labeling machine, ampoule sealer, pallet jack. May be required to operate fork lift.
PHYSICAL DEMAND: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee regularly is required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; extreme cold; and the noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The company reserves the right to require employees to work overtime when deemed necessary.
