How you will make an impact:
Our Sales Associate is responsible for the customer service and inventory management aspects of managed services for assigned customers. In addition, this role provides support with sales-related activities for the regional sales team. Key responsibilities will be:
- Performs on-site stockroom inventory management functions for assigned customers, including receiving, storage, stock rotation and cycle counts. Coordinates on-site program replenishments and disbursements.
- Collaborate and connect with cross-functional teams to provide an effective and efficient inventory management program for customers.
- Delivers direct shipment orders to end users.
- Accurately maintains and analyzes various data and reports from Thermo Fisher and customers and uses information to ensure that customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
- Work with customer to identify and resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively. Communicates any customer concerns or potential issues to manager and collaborates to identify the appropriate course of action as required.
- Provide Sales Support for regional sales team, including order entry, order expediting, customer service call resolution, return goods authorization, backorder processing, quote generation and other project-related support.
- Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations
Who are we looking for?
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales, customer service or inventory management functions preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills are required.
- Ability to analyze and interpret reports and data and use information to make decisions independently.
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines is essential.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office and the internet. Ability to learn and effectively use company computer systems (including Mainframe and Requisition and Inventory Management System) is required.
- Able to travel to and work on-site at assigned customer locations required.
- Ability to work in customer stockroom environment for extended periods. Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to operate basic stockroom equipment (including push carts and pallet jacks) is required.
