Job Details
As a Virtualization Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing our virtual infrastructure. You'll handle technical support, problem resolution, and contribute to process improvements across our data centers, cloud, and disaster recovery sites.
Responsibilities:
- Provide frontline support for desktop and server virtual infrastructure.
- Document operational procedures, maintain inventory records, and participate in change management processes.
- Rapidly deploy fixes for system stability and security threats, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and user issues, coordinating workload priorities effectively.
- Participate in compliance activities, including log collection and analysis.
- Available for after-hours support to address production service outages.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in VMWare Virtualization.
- Proficiency in SRM, ESXi, vCenter, Aria Operations, Cisco UCS, Nutanix, and software-defined storage.
- Familiarity with VMware-associated programs and coding languages (e.g., Windows Server, SAN architecture, Rundeck, Python, or C ).
- Advanced analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and influence effectively.
