Job Posting for Echocardiographer at Thibodaux Regional Health System
Responsible for performing cardiology services under the supervision and/or orders of physician for cardiovascular ultrasonic imaging and related diagnostic procedures that demonstrates anatomy for interpretation by, a licensed physician.
Educational And/or Professional Qualifications
Educational And/or Professional Qualifications
- Graduate from sonography school and/or on the job training.
- At least one year’s experience in performing 2D, M-mode, Color and Quantitative Doppler preferred or a graduate of a sonographer school.
- Experience in other cardiac procedures preferred, but not essential.
- Communication skills with the ability to listen and respond to physicians, fellow employees, and patients in a timely, competent manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills required
- Demonstrates good decision making
- Current Registration as a diagnostic cardiac sonographer, RDCS registry, RDMS or CCI registration in echocardiography preferred and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience required.
