Responsibilities of a Controller

• Manage and assistant accountant A/P and a receptionist A/R.
• Oversee the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, and cash control.
• Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash, receipts applications, funding management, quarter and year-end closing including federal and state report.
• Oversee payroll systems to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees, administration of benefits and regulatory compliance.
• Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the company’s value.

Requirements of a Controller

· College degree preferred or equivalent experience

· Knowledge of dealership finance preferred, but not required

· Professional personal appearance & excellent communication skills

· Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation, and presentation skills

· Professional Appearance

· Must be willing to submit to a background check

· Knowledge in Automate preferred, but not necessary
